The Ratchet system.

You won't go unnoticed with this "holographic" design and its metallic, rainbow-like effect. Our holographic stickers bring a unique and modern touch to your wheels, while offering exceptional durability thanks to our "Water Decal" application process.

At Evoride-Wheels, we offer exclusive designs so your wheels reflect your style. Whether you're a fan of vibrant colors or subtle finishes, our holographic stickers can be adapted to suit all your tastes.
Unlike traditional stickers, our "Water Decal" stickers are designed to withstand the most demanding conditions: rain, mud, UV rays, and intensive washing. Perfect for cyclists who value quality and style.

Comparison of Ratchet architectures

Three main architectures define DT Swiss's Ratchet systems, each targeting a specific level of performance and integration.

This historical system is renowned for its robustness and ease of maintenance. It uses two movable crowns and two helical springs .

Introduced for high-end hubs, the EXP system optimizes weight and rigidity by integrating one of the sprockets into the hub. It uses a single spring and a single moving sprocket .

DEG is the latest evolution, targeting extreme performance and full-suspension mountain bikes. It is often associated with DF (Degrees of Freedom) technology.

  • Record responsiveness: With 90 teeth, the hub achieves a minimum engagement angle of 4°
  • DF (Degrees of Freedom) Technology: This innovation reduces pedal kickback (the feedback felt when the suspension compresses) by allowing the freehub body a small amount of free rotation within a defined range. This is essential for mountain bikes with high kinematics to free up the suspension for more efficient operation.

Compatibility and Care Instructions

Non-interchangeability: The Classic, EXP, and DEG systems have different hub bodies and sprockets. The parts (sprockets, springs) are not interchangeable between the three designs.
Crucial Lubrication: Maintenance must be carried out exclusively with the specific DT Swiss grease (red/pink grease).
